Citrus Spiral

Many times my inspiration is a large focal bead.
In Citrus Spiral I was capitvated by the clear hollow
bead with oranges lines (artist unknown) spiraling around. I immediately
thought of my favorite bead stitch, AfricanHelix, with
it's DNA spiral look. A perfect match for this bead.
I made 5 color samples before I got close to what I wanted.
I was almost there and asked my 17 year old daughter what
was wrong with it. She immediately said the colors are
backwards. I switched them and it was perfect!
